Welcome!

My name is Bonnie(Qinzhi) Jiang, a researcher, problem solver, storyteller, and of course —

a people person!

I am a third-year dual-degree master’s student from the University of Michigan majoring in Design Science and Human-Computer Interaction. I am passionate about practicing mixed-methods research to empower marginalized communities with accessible design. In the past, I was involved in multiple research projects working with underserved users. During the field study, my multicultural experience enables me to quickly adapt to the social context, ask approachable and concise interview questions, and uncover unique stakeholder insights. With previous experience in art and design, I stayed engaged through the entire product design circle and delivered design solutions using prototyping software such as Adobe XD and Figma. As an early career researcher, my career goal is to be an advocate that can channel various product languages and understand how to convey research-led PD among stakeholders in an organization.

My current research areas are co-creation methods with marginalized users and systems engineering/design thinking among engineering professionals.

Enough about me, please have fun looking around!
